David Garrett’s music is totally cool

Most of us love some good music when we’re post processing our images. I have been somewhat deprived a particularly appealing new stuff off late… this is until I happened to chance across this particular artist – David Garrett. This particular album – Rock Symphonies – is self describing. It is a series of covers of classic rock anthems that have been given an amazing new twist with a blend of classical and rock instruments played by some very talented musicians.

If I had to draw a comparison of David’s music, its is a blend of Vanessa-Mae and your favourite 80s and 90s rock bands. My two personal favourites are his renditions of AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck”, and the late Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” – though the coolest rendition is “Vivaldi vs. Vertigo”, where the music of classical composer meets the really cool grooves of U2.
